LL Cool J has filed a trademark lawsuit against the Rock The Bells Hip-Hop Festival.
Court papers reveal that the lawsuit has been filed against the festival founded by Chang Weisberg and claims that the founder and promoter Guerilla Union, Inc tried to trademark "Rock The Bells" 20 years after LL released the song.
LL alleges that even after a ruling in his favor the two still tried to trademark the phrase for other ventures.
LL is suing for unspecified damages and wants the judge to grant an injunction to prohibit the founder and promoter from using the name.
