Big Daddy Kane's debut album turns 30 years old today

On this date in music history (June 21st), Big Daddy Kane released his debut album Long Live The Kane back in 1988.

The groundbreaking album included the classics Ain't No Half Steppin', Raw, I'll Take You There, Set It Off, Just Rhymin' With Biz and more.

The project was certified Gold in the year of its release!

Many other rappers have made references to this album and the songs on it. The Source ranked the album as one of the 100 greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time.

Granted, the list came out in 1998 but it should still probably be ranked.
