The doctor who was accused of illegally prescribing Prince an opioid a week before his death agreed to pay $30,000 in order to settle a federal civil claim.
Dr. Michael Todd Schulenberg worked a few miles away from Prince's home. Search warrant documents say Schulenberg and Prince met twice in April of 2016.
In a DEA investigation it was found that Schulenberg prescribed "Schedule 2 controlled substances" in someone's name with the intent to give them to another person.
