Thinking about a Celtics run to an NBA title?
Might want to think again. The Celtics got hit with some bad news earlier today.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Kyrie Irving will miss the remainder of the regular season and playoffs following knee surgery.
The Celtics currently hold the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. Irving has averaged 24.4 points, 5.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds this season.
Irving underwent a procedure to remove a tension wire in the knee on March 24. The wire had been placed into his knee during surgery to repair a fractured patella in 2015.
