9 Dead After Overheated Truck Bust In Texas, Victims Of Human Trafficking

 

When a Walmart employee in San Antonio, Texas noticed strange happenings near a truck in the parking lot, and after a man from the truck had asked the employee for water, they immediately called the police.

CNN reports 9 are dead following a bust that revealed up to 100 illegal immigrants stuffed into the trailer of a semi in what appears to be a human trafficking case. 

"Checking the video from the store, we found there were a number of vehicles that came in and picked up a lot of the folks that were in that trailer that survived the trip," San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said. "We are looking at a human trafficking crime here."

8 bodies were found in the truck, as well as 31 others suffering from various injuries. A ninth person later died in the hospital.
