'Ted' is a good movie, but it isn’t worth going to jail for. Lonnie Perry of Tulsa, OK rented the movie back in 2014. Shortly after that, a string of events left him homeless. Needless to say, he never returned the movie.
Lonnie said he forgot all about it until he got a call and letter recently from the Rogers County District Attorney's Office. Over the past four years, the rental had racked up $218.07 worth of late fees.
Lonnie said, "I just don't have that kind of money right off. I'll get it, and I'll pay it. I'll do what I have to do." The DVD is now considered stolen property and if he doesn't pay the fine a warrant will be issued for his arrest.
