For the record I never believe an artist, let alone rappers when they announce retirements. From Too Short, Jay-Z and as of recent Lloyd Banks, retiring from rap never seems to work out for those who plan it.
However class is over according to Young Jeezy who announced on Twitter that he will be working on his last album and final installment of “Thug Motivation” with “Thug Motivation 104”It’s been 13 years since Jeezy dropped Thug Motivation 101 and after eight studio albums and dissolving his partnership with Tequila Avión in January, although he’ll still promote and get paid from the brand through 2020, Jeezy has decided that he’s ready to retire and as he told V Files, “I’d love to have a beach house in St. Thomas and kick my shoes off, get all in the sand. I came from project living!”
Maybe the 'Thug Motivation' series is coming to an end but I'm not sure about Jeezy hanging it up for good just yet. What do you think?
Either way "Bottles Up" to Jeezy for the next adventure in his career!
