T.I.has finally broken his silence.
Tip has been the center of controversy for the past few weeks over controlling and frankly creepy parenting decisions, like insisting on going with his daughter, Deyjah, on OB-GYN visits, and asking the doctor to check if her hymen is intact as a sort of virginity test.
T.I. and his wife Tiny sat down with Jada Pinkett Smith and her mom Adrienne for a candid conversation on Red Table Talk. He says folks got carried away with what he called “hymen-gate” and claims he was never actually in the room during the procedures, he just asked for the results after. He also says that it only happened a couple of times, around when his daughter was 15 and 16.
He maintains that there was nothing wrong with what he did, and points out that Tiny was there too. Tip says he’s just trying to shelter his daughter and protect her. Peep the full interview below:
