Chris Brown Plans To Appeal Dismissed Extortion Lawsuit

Chris Brown's extortion lawsuit involving a now deceased lawyer, Jose Victor Los Banos Giongco was dismissed in court recently but according to The Blast, the singer plans to appeal the ruling.

Chris alleged that in 2015 he was approached by a group of armed men in his hotel room in the Philippines and they tried to extort him “by unlawfully threatening to have him arrested and sent to jail, and demanding $300,000 payment in exchange for safe passage home.”

Chris sued Jose because he claimed he was behind the set up but a judge dismissed the case today due to "jurisdictional issues." But that’s now stopping Chris.

Chris has also been dealing with other legal matters, including one involving his ex-manager. Mike Giurguis is suing Breezy for failure in returning drug tests related to the 2016 lawsuit he has against the singer for false imprisonment, assault, battery, defamation, and breach of contract. Mike was brought on to Chris' team to help him repair his image after he assaulted Rihanna, but it seems not a lot of help occurred.
