Jay Z Thanks Artists For His Songwriter's Hall of Fame Induction on Twitter

Earlier today Shawn "Jay Z" Carter made history today by being the first rapper ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

According to People magazine, Jay did not attend the ceremony in New York hence wife Beyonce's "labor rumors" he did give an acceptance speech via Twitter to artists who made an impact on his career, and you might be shocked just like we were with some of the names he dropped.

If you follow Jay you know he's not much of a "tweeter" and this is just 5 out of 12 posts he tweeted. As you can tell he is very impacted by today's culture just as much as he was when he first started out.

Missed the ceremony? Find out what our former president Barack Obama had to say about the rapper and the "Women" in their lives.
