If anyone know what their talking about it would be our guy Ab-Soul.
Soulo, who has been working with Kendrick Lamar for years was asked in a recent interview with Montreality, his thoughts and opinions on Kendrick'a new 'DAMN.' album that we can't get enough of.
He expressed that Kendrick took it back to his roots with this album when he was formerly known as "K-Dot" during his mixtape days before changing his name to Kendrick Lamar in 2010.
"He's been Kendrick Lamar for a while, and Kendrick Lamar is the good kid, he's the more introspective kid," said Soul. "I think he was trying to get back to "K-Dot", get back to his roots, sag his pants, really roll through the hood... for this album, he kinda did it for us, like for our generation and how we feel right now."
I mean we can only agree since Kendrick did tell more of personal life on the album in the tracks like 'Duckworth' and 'God'.
