YouTube published regarding "Momo" content:
“After much review, we’ve seen no recent evidence of videos promoting the Momo Challenge on YouTube. Videos encouraging harmful and dangerous challenges are clearly against our policies, the Momo challenge included. Despite press reports of this challenge surfacing, we haven’t had any recent links flagged or shared with us from YouTube that violate our Community Guidelines.”
The statement also went on to note that the images of "Momo" are not against their YouTube Terms of Service although they have banned it from YouTube's Kids platform along with their children's app.

According to a facebook post from Police in Ireland there is a new game that kids are playing that's VERY DANGEROUS:
"**Suicide game targeting our kids**
Some information on the latest "Momo" game which is doing the rounds at the moment😨
This game conceals itself within other harmless looking games played by our kids! There has also been reports of parts of the game being viewable on YouTube
The character in the photo below is ‘Momo’ and when downloaded tells your child to communicate with them via WhatsApp and a number of other widely used apps. "Momo" then tells your child to self harm or she will put a curse on them!
Our advice as always, is to supervise the games your kids play and be extremely mindful of the videos they are watching on YouTube. Ensure that the devices they have access to are restricted to age suitable content.
