Woman Gets Arrested After video of Her Saying "Go Back To India" Goes Viral

A woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly attacking friends outside a Texas restaurant. The woman yelled at the group to "go back to India" on camera.

Plano Police Department responded to a disturbance that occurred in the parking lot outside of Sixty Vines restaurant in Plano, Texas.

Esmeralda Upton was arrested at 3:50 p.m. Thursday for assault and terroristic threats. She was being held on a $10,000 bond, but she wasn't in the Collins County Jail.

In the viral video, Upton is yelling for the group to “go back to India” and “we don’t want you here.” As she walks away, the woman filming says, "We weren't talking to you." Upton turns around, yells a racial slur, and starts hitting the woman recording the altercation.
