With so many people testing positive for Covid right now, tests are selling out everywhere and so if you can get your hands on a test it's a good thing! However officials are warning people to not fall for these fake covid tests!
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issued a warning - their site says
“Scammers are selling fake and unauthorized at-home COVID-19 test kits in exchange for your personal or medical information,” the department wrote on its website. “Make sure to purchase FDA-approved COVID-19 test kits from legitimate providers.”
A lot of these scammers are targeting retirement communities, they offer fake tests for personal details!
On top of that a bunch of street-corner operations have been reported as fake!
