After a two-week trial, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted on all charges, after a jury found him guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the murder of George Floyd.
Chauvin, who kneeled on Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes in May 2020, now faces up to 40 years in prison.
