The Weeknd ‘Inspired’ by the Pandemic and BLM Movement for New Album

2020 has proven to be extremely challenging for many, but The Weeknd has been able to draw immense inspiration from this overwhelming year.

The Weeknd revealed that both the pandemic and Black Lives Matter served as major inspiration for his next album.

In a new interview with TMRW, the "Blinding Lights" singer shared details about the music he has been working on.

"I have been more inspired and creative during the pandemic than I might normally be while on the road...The pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement and the tensions of the election have mostly created a sense of gratitude for what I have and closeness with the people near me," he revealed.
