Apparently, 2021 isn't going to be the big game-changer everyone was hoping for.
At least not at first.
Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, says he expects this month, January, and February to be the "most difficult time in the public health history of this nation."
While Redfield says the widespread availability of a vaccine could change his prediction, the vaccine's initial rollout later this month is expected to be administered to medical professionals.
Health experts say the general public won't be able to get vaccinated until sometime around June.
