The Simpsons are notorious for predicting things in their show and they've done it again! So recently the Mayor of Austin, Texas Steve Adler posted a video urging people to stay home!
Well turns out when the video was posted he was actually on vacation in CABO!!!! He actually recorded the video while he was on vacation!
Well now that it's come out, he's had to issue an apology. “I regret this travel,” Adler wrote in a statement. “My fear is that this travel, even having happened during a safer period, could be used by some as justification for risky behavior. In hindsight, and even though it violated no order, it set a bad example for which I apologize.”
Well turns out The Simpsons already had this moment covered in Season 4 - where Mayor Quimby films a similar video during a flu outbreak - but he's filming it while he's on vacation!
Now granted there are so many episodes of The Simpsons that it's bound to happen that they get some stuff right, but I love when it happens!
