Dixie Chicks Change Name to The Chicks In Support for Black Lives Matter

The Dixie Chicks are changing their name. They will drop "Dixie" and go by The Chicks. Dixie is a term for states below the Mason Dixon line that made up the Confederacy. The Confederacy was a group of states that were slave-holding and seceded from the union over wanting to keep slavery in place. The Chicks also released a music video for their song, March.

The video is a series of clips from protestors and marches throughout history fighting for issues like climate change, gun violence, suffrage, LGBTQ+ rights, Black Lives Matter rights, gender equality and more.
