As you know the NBA season will be picking back up at the end of July! Some of the teams will be headed down to Orlando to finish out the 2020 season and the Lakers were one of the teams that will be there!
However Avery Bradley will NOT be one of them! He has informed the league that for the safety of his family, he will not be joining the team in Orlando.
Bradley's 6-year-old son, Liam, has a history of struggling to recover from respiratory illnesses, which influenced his decision. In an interview, Bradley said: "I can't imagine making any decision that might put my family's health and well-being at even the slightest risk."
I can't imagine how tough that decision must have been to make but also, it clearly is the RIGHT decision! Family and healthy before anything else!
They're now saying that free agent J.R. Smith may be picked up and join the team to replace Avery!
