The 44-year-old Australian singer thought a picture of Nicki Minaj was Cardi B. It prompted calls for a swift cancellation.
Sia was replying to a tweet from a fan who asked if she'd collab with Nicki Minaj, a photo of Nicki was included, and Sia replied, "I love @iamcardib, and although this isn't a collaboration, I would love to COLLAB with her any day!"
After Sia was publicly dragged on social media she came back with yet another tweet, "I totally misunderstood a tweet earlier that has resulted in me making a buffoon out of myself. Sorry, @NICKIMINAJ and @iamcardib if you hear about it. Can I just like you both?"
Neither Cardi nor Nick responded to Sia.
