George Floyd and Derek Chauvin “Bumped Heads” While Working at Nightclub

The owner of the bar and a nightclub employee where both George Floyd and former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin worked, says the men knew each other. "They bumped heads," says David Pinney. Pinney told CBS News Chauvin was extremely aggressive with the club’s patrons and it posed a problem. The owner of El Nuevo Rodeo, Maya Santamaria, says she had been paying Chauvin to patrol the parking lot of her club for 17 years. She says both Floyd, who worked at the club for the past year, and Chauvin worked on Tuesday nights. Santamaria says that Chauvin was “afraid and intimidated” by black people. Pinney says the two men “knew each other well,” and that is the bases for the attorney for the Floyd family to seek first-degree murder charges against Derek Chauvin. Since Derek Chauvin and George Floyd knew each other do you believe first-degree murder charges should be considered?
