Those Jordans you own? They almost didn't exist with Nike!
Imagine how much he would've lost out on, BILLIONS of dollars!
In Episode 5 of "The Last Dance," Michael Jordan revealed that he didn't want to sign with Nike. He wanted to sign with Adidas instead in 1984, but they didn't make him a priority.
You can't blame him, Nike wasn't the hottest brand out then.
His mom forced him to get on a plane and hear what Nike had to offer him.
"My mother said, 'You're gonna go listen. You may not like it, but you're gonna go listen,'" Jordan said ... "She made me get on that plane and go listen."
As you can guess, Jordan listened to his mom and got on that plane.
Moral of the story? Always listen to your mom.
