California Will Begin To Reopen Stores This Friday, Says Gov. Gavin Newsom

California is getting closer to lifting stay-at-home orders. Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Monday afternoon that the state would begin moving into Phase 2 this Friday. Retail stores across California will be able to reopen, but there will be guidelines.

Retail will start to open for pick up; he said bookstores, clothing, music, and toy stores would also be able to reopen along with other retail businesses.

There were six requirements we as a state needed to meet in order to begin reopening. All six requirements are on the schedule:

  • Stability of Hospitalizations
  • Personal Protective Equipment Inventory
  • Health Care Surge Capacity
  • Testing Capacity
  • Contact Tracing Capability
  • Public Health Guidance In Place
