Doctors and Nurses right now are the true heroes in all of this and it's important that they feel safe while putting their life on the line, and not just their life, but their family members lives!

We've heard a lot of heartbreaking stories about Nurses and Doctors passing away after getting covid-19, and we've heard stories about family members getting it from them!

We've also been hearing that there aren't enough supplies and many dcotors and nurses don't have the proper equipment to protect themselves. Imagine trying to send a firemen into a fire without a hose or suit?! These nurses NEED PPE!

That's when some Nurses at Santa Monica Hospital refused to work without proper equipment, these nurses were told that surgical masks were enough and they didn't need N95 face masks!

After a nurse at that hospital tested positive for covid-19 a handful of nurses told their managers that they would not go into rooms of Covid-19 patients without N95 masks.

Sadly after that the hospital decided to suspended them, according to the National Nurses Union, which represents them. Ten nurses are now being paid but not allowed to return to work pending an investigation from human resources, the union said.

Saint John's wouldn't comment on the suspensions but said in a statement that as of Tuesday it was providing N95 masks to all nurses caring for COVID-19 patients and those awaiting test results. The statement said the hospital had increased its supply and was disinfecting masks daily.

"It's no secret there is a national shortage," said the statement.
