Kobe Bryant's Stolen Jersey Returned for Ceremony at High School

The stolen jersey that Kobe Bryant wore while playing high school basketball in Philadelphia was returned to Lower Merion High School just in time for a ceremony honoring the late guard on Saturday.

A collector from China made arrangements prior to Bryant's death to have the jersey returned to Bryant's high school.

The collector suspected that the jersey he had purchased had actually been stolen back in 2017.

With school officials calling it "a fitting tribute to a tough week", the jersey was unveiled at a ceremony inside the high school gym named after the NBA legend, Bryant Gymnasium.

Lower Marion coach Gregg Downer told NBC called the timing of the jersey's return "ironic" saying "We've been waiting for that jersey for a long time."
