Sunday night Lizzo will take her beautiful self to the Grammys and I can't wait to see what she wears, but before that she sat down with Rolling Stone and talked about her music, career and how people feel about her!
There was a moment when she was asked how she felt about the accusations that she only makes music for white people.
“Yeah, there’s hella white people at my shows,”Lizzo said. “What am I gonna do, turn them away? My music is for everybody.”
“As a black woman, I make music for people, from an experience that is from a black woman,” she continued.
She added, “I’m making music that hopefully makes other people feel good and helps me discover self-love.”
“That message I want to go directly to black women, big black women, and black trans women,”Lizzo said. “Period.”
