Each time DeSean Jackson takes the field this upcoming season, the Eagles wide receiver will be paying tribute to Nipsey Hussle. Posting to Instagram Tuesday, Jackson showed off the pairs of custom cleats he'll wear along with the late rapper's lyric, "Lock us behind gates but can't tame us. Used to be stay safe, now it's stay dangerous."
Marcus Rivero, AKA Soles By Sir, tells TMZ Sports that Jackson commissioned him for the footwear, revealing he has more in the works. Sportsnaut points out Jackson's plan will be costly though. The NFL doesn't allow custom cleats during games except at certain times, and will likely issue a fine if he does.
Does the league's shoe rule make sense? What would be their reasoning?
