People Can't Believe What Facebook Was Caught Doing To Their Users

Are you on Facebook?

Isn't EVERYONE on Facebook... even if you don't use it, you have one!

Okay so watch out for this...

Facebook is facing a lot of scrutiny for the way it handles your data. But this latest tactic might be its shadiest yet.

Some users creating new accounts are being prompted to "confirm" their email address" by entering their email password. This has alarmed some security experts, who say surrendering your password could grant access to all sorts of personal information.

A Facebook rep confirmed to Gizmodo that the prompt appears for a "very small" number of users signing up for the first time, but says the passwords "are not stored by Facebook".

They also say they'll be doing away with the practice going forward.
