Logic Turned Down $1.5 Million Early in His Career ‘Like It Was Nothing’

Logic and his manager recently sat down for NPR’s How I Built This With Guy Raz, to discuss their ups and downs while trying to get signed with a label, Logic even turned down $1.5 million.

Logic's manager, Chris Zarou spoke of how he tried to get internships with every label and when he got an interview with Def Jam that told him it “wasn’t gonna work,” Zarou says he framed the email in his office after Logic signed with Def Jam.

Logic and Chris say they were still sleeping on couches when they were offered a $1.5 million dollar deal with an independent label, after Def Jam’s offer Logic says, “it was very difficult looking at a check and seeing lower six-figures," but the singer said he used the money to fund his first tour.
