Disney continues to bring back all of our childhood films. The multi-billion dollar media company is slated to release Aladdin.
Disney shared a teaser trailer for Aladdin. The brief trailer is mostly comprised of CGI, which reveals how early in post-production the editors must be. Gorgeous shots of a kingdom tucked away in the desert, and a glimpse at the colorful Iago open up the trailer.
As Agrabah falls out of sight, the scene switches to Aladdin and Jafar, seen from behind, as they approach the talking Cave of Wonders. The one live-action shot we do get to enjoy comes at the end, as Aladdin (played by Mena Massoud) reaches for the infamous lamp. There's no sign of Will Smith, who will play Genie, but his presence is still auspiciously felt in the final scene.
Aladdin lands in theaters on May 24, 2019.
