So we all know that Beyonce and Jay-Z have been handing out scholarships during their tour stops, but the latest one had even bigger impact and that's because Khairi Perry (the winner) has been spending the last four years staying in motels and shelters with his family. He said the moment was "mind boggling." Perry is now one of eleven teens to receive the scholarship. He currently has a 3.5 GPA, and was recently named King County Youth of the Year by the Boys and Girls Club. He hopes to attend the University of Oregon and major in chemical engineering or computer science.
