Chance the Rapper Says He’s Working on Albums With Kanye & Childish Gambino

It’s surprisingly been two years since Chance The Rapper released his Grammy Award-winning mixtape, Coloring Book. So for fans that have been waiting for new music, the Chicago native has something in store for you.

During an interview with Peter Rosenberg for Complex, Chance announced that he has forthcoming projects with Kanye West and Childish Gambino.

Chance said, “Kanye is my favorite rapper that I followed without knowing for a long time, and Donald Glover was the first rapper who was like, ‘Come on tour’ with me.”

He gave credit to Kanye for motivating him to work on multiple projects at once. As we recently uncovered, Ye is the king of multitasking. He produced and unveiled five G.O.O.D. Musicprojects back to back, Pusha-T’s Daytona, West’s Ye and Kids See Ghosts, Nas’ Nasir and Teyana Taylor's K.T.S.E

Although Chance didn't disclose a release date, he says he's “at least 30 percent” done with both. Chance also suspects his project with Gambino will end up being a full album, “probably more than 14 songs.”
