Winners of the 2017-2018 NBA Awards

Most Valuable Player winner: James Harden

James Harden was the indisputable winner of the 2017-2018 MVP. The guy practically lead the Houston Rockets to the most regular season wins and the Western Conference finals, while leading the league in points per game.

Rookie of the Year winner: Ben Simmons

Look, it was between him and Donovan Mitchell who is playing in year one of his contract. If Mitchell played in any other season he would have taken this award unanimously.

Most Improved Player winner: Victor Oladipo

Duh. After his season shadowing Russell Westbrook on the Oklahoma City Thunder, Victor Oladipo simply needed his own team to outshine other superstars. This means he's always had this potential, he just didn't have enough ball time.

Defensive Player of the Year winner: Rudy Gobert

Rudy Gobert didn't get his nickname The Stifle Tower for no reason.

Sixth Man of the Year winner: Lou Williams

Lou Williams definitely deserved this. After a year where he wasn't doing much, he bounced back on the Clippers second squad and completely dominated his position.

Coach of the Year winner: Dwane Casey

R.I.P. to the coach of the Toronto Raptors. Now the NBA Coach of the Year is with the Detroit Pistons with a squad consisting of Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin. Yikes.
