Undefeated Brian Ortega stepped in to fight Former Champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 222 when Max Holloway got injured. Frankie Edgar was favored and ranked #2 but Brian Ortega has been grinding and really showed up. The first round looked like Frankie was getting the best of Ortega, he was the more aggressive fighter. Brian Ortega was feeling him out and then towards the end, he connected with a elbow and composed himself to land a combo of punches that lead to a uppercut to end it and KO the former Champ. Frankie Edgar has never been KO'd in his career and Ortega is now top contender for a title shot just like that. Frankie Edgar is one of the best in this sport so I hope we see him fight soon. As for Brian Ortega, hopefully we see him vs Max Holloway later this year. That would be a fight that you don't want to miss!
