On Tuesday (September 19th) a 7.1 magnitude earthquake rocked Mexico City. The earthquake devastated the city, already reeling from an earthquake a few weeks earlier, leaving over 200 dead.
You can be a “REAL Hero” and help the victims of the earthquake. Here’s how:
- Donate to the Red Cross’s Disaster relief fund.
- The Red Cross also setup a page to donate directly to the earthquake victims (the page is in Spanish).
- Donate on GlobalGiving, which has a goal of raising $1 million for the victims.
- Donate to UNICEF Mexico.
If you have any friends or family living in Mexico City and are concerned for their well-being there is a public Google Doc that lists the people who have been rescued. Google has also activated it's People Finder feature. The Red Cross has an information page with details on the many ways you can try to get in touch with loved ones.
