Shakira will be going to trial soon to prove that she did not fraud the Spanish government with her taxes! Right now she is being charged with failing to pay the Spanish government 14.5 million euros ($15 million) in taxes between 2012 and 2014.
Prosecutors said if Shakira is convicted they will be asking for a jail sentence of 8 years and 2 months!
Shakira actually rejected a settlement deal that was offered and decided to go to trial!
