Pusha T was on Desus & Mero to talk working with Jay-Z and his new project, It’s Almost Dry.
However, halfway into the interview Desus asked Pusha about his feud with Drake and what allowed him to move on from it. Pusha said:
“You know what it is? I don’t like the energy of mentioning my son in that type of energy — or any kid in that type of energy,” he says referencing his first-born son, Nigel. “ It’s not my thing right now. I got my son! And it’s like, with me, I’m just not going to play about anything involving him. Like, I don’t play nothing. So it’s like, ‘You know what? I’ll just [leave it alone].'”
“It’s selflessness,” he added. “And I’m very selfish, I’m a super selfish person; with my son, I have totally taken myself [out of it]. It’s all him first.”
