BTS has joined the names of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Nirvana, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake and Ariana Grande on the Billboard list of "greatest pop star!" This honor has dated back since 1981. The group is being highlighted for their 2020 achievements that includes being the first Korean act to score a Grammy Award nomination for their hit, "Dynamite." Other achievements include: "Life Goes On" debuting at number one on the Hot 100 and the first song sung entirely in Korean to top the charts. TIME magazine has even named the group 2020's "Entertainers Of The Year." BTS has made it difficult to not recognize K-Pop. They have not be sidelined into foreign categories but have dominated the English speaking area with music that translates to both the English and non English audiences.
