Cancun Loosens Travel Restrictions Ahead Of Spring Break

Cancun is easing up restrictions just in time for Spring Break.

Capacity limits for tours, attractions, hotels, restaurants and beaches have increased to 60%, but the nightclubs and bars still remain closed.

Beaches in Cancun, Tulum and Play del Carmen are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but alcohol remains prohibited.

If you do plan on traveling to Mexico, you have to register with the government first. You can do it online and once you do, you'll receive a QR code that you have to present when you arrive.

Additionally, you will need to provide confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test before you are allowed on the plane to your next destination.
