Jeff Bezos is officially stepping down from his role as CEO of Amazon.
Bezos founded Amazon in 1996, growing it from an online bookstore to the largest retail company in the world - and becoming one of the richest men on the planet in the process.
The 57-year-old will transition into a role as executive chair of Amazon's board.
So, who will replace him? Amazon Web Services CEO, Andy Jassy, will replace Bezos.
Bezos reportedly told employees that he pans to focus on "the Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post, and other passions.”
