Offset recently celebrated his 29th birthday and shared some heartbreaking news about his uncle.
During an interview with GQ magazine, the Migos rapper said his birthday week was bittersweet because he lost his uncle to COVID-19.
“Dealing with this year, it took a little bit of the soul out of the birthday,” Offset told GQ. “But it is a blessing to be here. People have lost their lives to something that hasn’t been fixed."
The 29-year-old also revealed he never thought this generation would experience a pandemic. "I lost a great-uncle to COVID. I never thought in my generation, we would go through this type of time.”
