Mayor Eric Garcetti said 4,000 food workers will get a $800 stipend to help them during this pandemic.
During a meeting, the mayor of Los Angeles said this will be part of a program called SERVE and it will go in full effect this upcoming Monday, December 7.
"SERVE will be a lifeline for 4,000 of our most vulnerable and beloved workers, as all Angelenos work to bring those COVID numbers back down so we can reopen more," he shared.
According to the details, the SERVE application will remain open all week so applicants can apply any time next week until midnight of next Friday, December 11.
