Dave East posted to his InstaStory the side by side photo of Lil Nas X dressed as Nick Minaj for Halloween and Nicki Minaj.
He used a homophobic slur commonly used in Jamaica. Dave East tagged a Jamaican artist saying he was on his way.
Lil Nas responded by first correcting Dave East on his incorrect spelling of the slur.
Then he wrote, "can't even be homophobic the proper way smh...bro, I don't bother a soul in this industry. All I do is tweet and make bangers. Leave me alone. Damn."
