A rep for the company said
“We’re looking at different marketing promotions in the U.S. to attract new members and give them a great Netflix experience,”
Back in August the company offered some of their original content for free! So that's some of the new ways they'll try and get new subscribers.
Personally I think it's a bit hard right now to get new people to sign up, especially since a lot of people are no longer working and trying to work on their finances. I cancelled two subscriptions in the last few months because I'm trying to save some money! So I get it!
