L.A. County Reopen Dine In Restaurants, Barbershops, Salons

L.A. County took a major step forward today. Per Govoner Gavin Newsom, restaurants barbershops and hair salons will be able to reopen as early as this weekend, of course they must meet the county’s guidelines and safety protocols, County official Jacince Hahn tweeted.

With so many establishments reopening it's important that we remember we may still a risk, officials warned about possible new outbreaks if social distancing and other safety protocols are not met.

Restaurants will only be allowed a 60% capacity limit. County Supervisor Janice Hahn said Friday 'many of them will have to find creative ways to do that by utilizing their parking lots and the streets in front of their restaurants".

Another County requirement for restaurants and salons will be that they obtain detailed records of customers, including contact numbers, so that public health officials can follow up with patrons in the event of an outbreak.

Per Supervisor Janice Hahn, also on the list of plans includes diagrams showing how to separate tables six feet apart and proposes putting physical barriers between tables where such distancing isn’t possible.

The California Department of Public Health also released guidelines for Barbershops and salons, they are both only allowed to reopen for services that permit both the customer and employee to wear face coverings. Sorry ladies, that means eyebrow waxing and facials are still not allowed (trust me, i feel your pain).
