Montemorelos, Mexico was hit by a hailstorm recently. The weather event had extra significance for some.
The spiked hail looked like the molecular structure of coronavirus cells.
Some residents posted the hail on social media and said it was a sign from God to stay at home.
Meteorologist Miguel Vinas said the spiked hail wasn't irregular. He pointed out that this kind of hail from strong storms sometimes fuses together to form spikes on the outside.
