Unemployed Californians Will Receive Extra $600 Weekly Starting Sunday

We're all going through a tough time together but news like this is so good to hear. A big thank you to Gov. Gavin Newsom who has been doing such an amazing job as a leader, thank you!

Starting this Sunday, Californians who are struggling with finding work will receive an extra $600 in weekly unemployment benefits from a federal stimulus package. The first payment will go out Sunday to people who have already processed their claims and the payments will be credited to state Employment Development debit cards.

This means California's average weekly benefit of $340 will now be $940, gif you receive the maximum weekly check, you'll get an increased check of $1,050. The new benefits will last for four months!
