It’s a technique used by Justin Bieber to relieve anxiety and stress and can be done anytime you feel overwhelmed.
In a recent episode of Justin Bieber: Seasons, the “Yummy” singer is seen using “havening” to deal with a busy set.
His wife Hailey described the technique as “how it feels when your mom rubs you back to help you go to sleep.”
According to Bieber’s therapist, “havening” is a “psychosensory technique that actually raises the feel-good chemicals in your brain on demand.”
To try it the next time you’re feeling stressed simply touch your upper arms, palms, and around the eyes with some pressure, you can also rub your head and face to self-soothe yourself.
