Waitress Explains Why Tipping Is Important After Getting Check For 70 Hrs

A Texas mom took her paycheck to TikTok to explain why tipping at restaurants and bars is important.

She worked over 70 hours and got paid only $9.28. When she broke down her paycheck, it looked crazy.

So she explains that she gets paid $2.13 an hour and worked close to 71 hours a week, which would have equalled $150.81 for that week.

However, because she has to pay social care, Medicare and federal income tax through this pay-slip, she actually only earned $9.28 for 70 hours of work.
